First of all, yes! We’re saying hi from Japan!

It all started with searching for a toy for our newborn son, Rintaro for Christmas and our passion for Japanese craft and woodwork.

We wanted a toy with a story, a toy that will tell a story, that will become a keepsake when he is all grown up.

So in the cold winters of January 2021, we decided to curate, source, and collaborate with Japanese Craftsmen from all over Japan, and start our brand - ASOBI, because we simply believe kids these days deserve more than just mass-produced toys and the iPad, and also because we wanted to keep the craft alive by curating from the best ateliers in Japan.

We promise you that every item on ASOBI is:
